Enlarging the Size of Text in Your Browser
If you sometimes have difficulty reading text on a Web page because it seems too small, did you know that you can enlarge the size of text in your browser? Web browsers such as Firefox and Internet Explorer offer both pulldown menu options and keyboard shortcuts that make this easy to do. Read this posting to find out how.
In Firefox, click on “View” in the menu bar (top of the browser near the left margin), then on “Text Size” in the pulldown menu, and then on “Increase Ctrl++”.

If the text size is still not large enough, you can continue increasing text size by using the keyboard shortcut, “Ctrl+” (that is, simultaneously holding down both the control key and the shift key while pressing the “+” sign). You can execute this shortcut repeatedly until the text size is as large as you need it to be.

Note that you may have to use both the horizontal scroll bar AND the vertical scroll bar to recenter the Web page.
Follow the same step if Internet Explorer is your browser of choice. Click on “View” in the menu bar, then on “Text Size” in the pulldown menu, and finally on either “Larger” or “Largest”.

Alternatively, you can avoid the pulldown menu by using the IE shortcut, which is the same as Firefox’s: “Ctrl” + “Shift” + “+”.

Again, if you need to recenter the Web page, use both horizontal and vertical scroll bars.
When you are finished reading the page, if you wish to restore it to its original size, use either the “View” pulldown menus (and “Text Size”, “Decrease Ctrl+-” or “Text Size”, “Smaller” [or “Smallest”]) or the decrease text size shortcut, “Ctrl -” (i.e., holding down the control keep, press the key for the minus sign, “-”). Again, you can repeat this decrease text size shortcut until the original size is restored. Internet Explorer also offers a “restore” shortcut, “Ctrl” + “0″, that is, while holding down the control key, press the number zero, “0″.

In order to change the size of text in IE for all web pages and e mail you will have to go two places. First, in Outlook Express go to Tools and then Internet Options. In Internet Options, click on the Read tab and near the bottom you will see a button with the word Fonts on it. Left click on this button and you will see a list of fonts and one of these will be highlighted. In the box you will a sample of how this font will look. Choose the style font that you want to read in your e mails. Then when you have done this, left click Apply and after this left click O.K.
Now for the second part and this is what sets the font to the size that you want it to be. In IE, go to Tools, and then Internet Options. The Internet Options properties will open. Go to the Accessibility tab and left click Ignore Font Sizes Specified on Web Pages. This will cause a check mark to appear. After this left click Apply and then left click O.K. After this, shut down your computer and then restart it. The font will be the newer larger size.
