This tutorial is intended only for those with administrative rights to the blog, [1] colleaguesforlife.blogspot.com.  It demonstrates how to post new items to the blog.

First, sign in to the blog.  There are two ways to do this.  One is to go to [2] www.blogger.com/start and enter the username/e-mail address and password for the blog.

The other is to go to the blog iteslf and sign in using the username/e-mail address and password.

You will arrive in the “Dashboard.”  To create a new post, click on “New Post.”

This will take you to the edit windows.  Type a title in the “Title”  line, then begin typing the text of your post in the larger text window.  To insert a link or photo, click on the appropriate icon above the text entry window.

When you finished, click on “Publish Post” below the text window. This will take you to the screen below. To see your new post, click on “View Blog.”

This will show you what the blog looks like with your new post added.  If you have more work to do (such as correcting a mistake or adding more text), click on “New Post” in the upper right of the screen.

This will take you back to a blank edit screen.  When that screen appears, to go to the post that you have just created, click on “Edit Posts.”

This takes you to a screen showing all posts on the blog site.  Find the panel of your new post (it should appear at the top of the list of all posts) and click on “Edit” at the left.  (If you are really discouraged at what you have created and want to start all over again, you could click “Delete” at the far right to get rid of the entire post.)

You will have returned to the original text and title that you created.  You may correct and add text (or change the title), insert a new link, or add another photo.  When you finish, as before, click on “Publish Post” at the bottom of the edit window, then on “View Blog” in the next screen that appears.

If you are satisfied with your new post as it now appears, you should “Sign Out” by clicking on this option in the far upper right of the screen.
